
The Punjab Home Department convened a high-level meeting to finalize arrangements for the 556th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the revered founder of Sikhism.
The meeting, chaired by Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, was attended by Home Secretary Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi, Special Secretary Fazal-ur-Rehman, and Chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Sajid Mahmood Chauhan, who briefed participants on preparations to welcome Sikh pilgrims.
According to officials, thousands of Sikh yatrees (pilgrims) from across the world, including around 3,000 from India under the existing bilateral agreement, will visit Pakistan from November 5 to 13 to participate in the festivities.
The pilgrims are scheduled to visit major religious sites in Nankana Sahib, Farooqabad (Sheikhupura), Hasan Abdal, Kartarpur, Eminabad, and Lahore.
