Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, will be released on Friday, October 3, 2025, at midnight Eastern Time.

Fans across the world are preparing for the global drop, which comes just over a year after the success of her Eras Tour.

Swift first revealed the project on August 13 during an appearance on fiancé Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast. Her official website simultaneously updated with the album cover, showing the singer in a sparkling corset while seated in bathwater, along with the official release date.

The pop superstar confirmed that she wrote, sang, and produced the album during various stops on her record-breaking Eras Tour. The project features 12 tracks, including “Showgirl,” “Cancelled!,” “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Opalite,” and “Honey.”

Fans can stream the full album starting at midnight on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Physical copies are also available for pre-order at major retailers such as Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy. Target will carry exclusive versions and plans extended hours on release night to meet demand.

To mark the occasion, Spotify is hosting a three-day immersive pop-up event in New York City dedicated to The Life of a Showgirl.

With Swift’s history of record-breaking releases, industry experts expect the album to dominate streaming charts immediately after launch.
