A new crossover is arriving in Fortnite: KPop Demon Hunters will make its debut on the platform beginning October 2. According to gaming news sources, the partnership will bring skins for the three members of the fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x, emotes, cosmetics, and a new limited time mode called Demon Rush, designed around battling waves of demons.
Leaks suggest that the Huntr/x skins, representing characters Zoey, Rumi, and Mira, will be usable across standard Fortnite modes. It’s also reported that creators using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) will receive access to official assets from KPop Demon Hunters to build community maps and experiences.
The collaboration was teased by Rei Ami, voice actor for Zoey, who shared an Instagram post that included a message from Fortnite’s official account: “It’s done, done, done.” She confirmed Zoey’s skin in the post.
While the skins are confirmed to arrive early October, it is still unclear whether all Huntr/x outfits will drop simultaneously or in phases. Fans eagerly await confirmation of skins for Rumi and Mira, as well as the full list of emotes, pickaxes, gliders, and accessories tied to the event.
Reception among Fortnite players has been enthusiastic. On forums and leak threads, users are speculating about what the Demon Rush mode will entail, some compare it to Fortnite’s Horde Rush, where players fend off waves of enemies, possibly sealing a “Honmoon” portal in the process.
Despite the buzz, no official confirmation from Epic Games has yet appeared in the game client or on the official Fortnite channels at the time of writing. Iterations of the new mode and cosmetics may be subject to change before release.
This collaboration follows KPop Demon Hunters’ meteoric rise as a cultural phenomenon. Since its launch on Netflix in June 2025, the animated musical fantasy film has broken several records, including Golden topping charts globally.
With skins, mode, and creative tools on the way, Oct 2 is shaping up to be a major day for Fortnite’s crossover events.
