The final trailer for Wicked: For Good, the concluding part of the two-film adaptation of Broadway’s Wicked, has revealed ten significant details that preview what audiences can expect when the film is released on November 21.
The trailer opens with Ariana Grande as Glinda performing Thank Goodness, the Act Two opener from the stage show. It is confirmed as the second track on the upcoming soundtrack, following a new number titled Every Day More Wicked.
Viewers also see the origin of Glinda’s bubble, a mechanical contraption revealed to be reformable through wand magic, introduced in a scene with Madame Morrible. Alongside this, the Emerald City is shown with pink details woven into its traditional green, reflecting Glinda’s influence.
A confrontation between Elphaba and Glinda on the yellow brick road is teased, with snippets of their conflict and spell-casting duel. Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba also debuts a new warrior costume featuring tailored trousers, described by costume designer Paul Tazewell as her “power look.”
The trailer hints at hidden connections between the characters, including a scene where Glinda appears to keep Elphaba’s boots in her closet. Erivo and Jonathan Bailey are also seen as Elphaba and Fiyero during an intimate forest sequence set to As Long As You’re Mine.
Audiences are given their first glimpse of Nessarose as the Wicked Witch of the East, wearing silver slippers glowing red, while Boq’s transformation into the Tin Man is confirmed with a dramatic reveal of his altered appearance.
The trailer closes with moments of friendship between Glinda and Elphaba, underscored by For Good, emphasising their enduring bond despite diverging paths.
Wicked: For Good will conclude the story when it premieres in cinemas worldwide on November 21.
