Model and social media influencer Rubi Rose unexpectedly found herself breaking up a heated confrontation between Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis during their recent press conference. The pair, set to meet in a high-profile exhibition bout in Miami on November 14, nearly came to blows before Rose stepped in to separate them.

Tensions flared when Davis shoved Paul, prompting an immediate shove back from the YouTuber-turned-boxer. The incident occurred during their promotional tour, which kicked off in New York before moving to Florida.

Rose, who boasts over five million Instagram followers and has worked as an ambassador for Paul’s W deodorant brand, shared clips of the scuffle on her social media. Fans online were quick to highlight her unexpected role, with many joking that she was “the real MVP” for maintaining order more effectively than security staff.

The fight itself has drawn attention due to unusual stipulations. According to The Sun, Paul, 28, and Davis, 30, will compete across ten three-minute rounds, but the exhibition will not count toward either man’s professional record. Despite this, knockouts are allowed, and three judges will score the contest to ensure a winner is declared.

Because of the significant weight gap — nearly five stone — Paul agreed to a 195lb limit for the bout. While Paul usually fights at cruiserweight (200lb), Davis is the reigning WBA lightweight champion at 135lb.

The size disparity has fueled debate within the boxing community, with former world champion Teofimo Lopez even calling the matchup “comical.” Still, Paul brushed off the shove incident, noting Davis’ speed but expressing confidence ahead of their November showdown.
