In an interview with Say Cheese!, White argued that D4vd’s continued freedom is itself evidence of his innocence. “He didn’t do it,” White claimed, suggesting that authorities would have already made an arrest if sufficient evidence existed. He added that in most cases, individuals are detained even with minimal proof. “If they find a dead body in me and your car… do you think they’d let me and you stay out?” White asked, also referencing reports that investigators are reviewing allegations about D4vd’s relationship with a minor.
Reactions to White’s comments have been divided across social media. One user dismissed him as “a solid ragebaiter,” while another argued that his defense often has the opposite effect, making people more suspicious. Others acknowledged that he raised a point, but suggested authorities may be deliberately building a strong case given D4vd’s celebrity status.
The Houston-born artist was on his Withered tour when the discovery was made. Following the news, he canceled upcoming performances and has been cooperating with investigators, according to reports.
Authorities have confirmed the victim’s identity as Celeste Rivas. Fans recently resurfaced a 2023 leaked track titled Celeste_Demo unfin, in which D4vd referenced the name “Celeste” multiple times. Additionally, TMZ reported that both D4vd and Rivas had matching “Shhh…” tattoos on their fingers, further fueling speculation online.
While the case remains ongoing, police have not announced any charges against D4vd. He continues to face significant public scrutiny as the investigation develops.
