Days after releasing her new album Am I the Drama?, Cardi B found herself in a public dispute with JT, sparked by allegations made by Chris Blake Griffith involving Cardi’s partner, NFL player Stefon Diggs.
Griffith, a sports and culture marketing executive, claimed in an interview with media personality Tasha K that he had been sexually assaulted by Diggs. JT referred to Griffith’s comments on social media, writing, “I feel like this isn't being taken seriously enough.”

Cardi responded in a now deleted post, alleging Griffith fabricated his story after being caught stealing. She wrote, “Chris lied because he was stealing and got caught.. there’s receipts for that. He lied on Gervonta Davis too and changed the story 1000 times.”
The tension between Cardi B and JT has a long history, dating back to their initial collaboration on City Girls’ "Twerk" in 2018. Their relationship deteriorated over industry disputes and public disagreements, resurfacing most recently with Cardi’s track "Magnet" from her new album, which included pointed remarks aimed at JT and her partner Lil Uzi Vert.
