Rockstar Games has all but confirmed that GTA RP (Roleplay) features will be integrated into GTA 6 Online when the game launches on May 26, 2026. RP has exploded in popularity, offering players immersive experiences on custom servers where they roleplay as original characters in the GTA universe.

While Rockstar has historically shut down fan projects, it made an exception for GTA RP, notably supporting the developers behind FiveM—the leading RP platform. Now, Rockstar is taking things further.

On September 23, top RP server nopixel announced a collaboration with Rockstar to bring “the next evolution of the GTA V Roleplay experience” to the Rockstar Launcher and other PC platforms. The project, nopixel V, is invite-only and will feature prominent creators like xQc and Valkyrae.

Rockstar retweeted the announcement, adding: “We’re excited to support the nopixel team as they create the future of GTA RP.” Notably, the studio didn’t limit their statement to GTA V, suggesting plans for RP support in GTA 6 Online as well.

Although details about GTA 6 Online remain under wraps, Rockstar has confirmed the single-player game will release in 2026. With trailers already out and speculation running wild, fans are eagerly awaiting a full reveal of gameplay and online features.

The integration of RP directly into the game from launch could revolutionize the multiplayer landscape and further fuel hype. Rockstar has called GTA 6 “the largest game launch in history,” and having RP built-in may play a key role in that.

As more creators and players get access to nopixel V, expect a clearer picture of what the future of GTA RP—and GTA 6 Online—will look like.
