Sylvester Stallone says he is still satisfied with his decision to leave Hollywood and permanently relocate to Florida.
The Tulsa King star spoke with Fox News Digital about his move, explaining that the Florida lifestyle is a better match for him than Los Angeles.
“I love it,” Stallone said. “The air seems to always be clean. We’re very near the water, which makes my wife incredibly happy. It makes me happy, and it’s just so lush. I went to college there for a couple of years, so I’m not a stranger to the environment, but it fits my personality much better.”
The Rocky and Rambo actor announced the move in 2024 on the second season of his reality series The Family Stallone, telling his daughters Scarlet, Sistine, and Sophia that he and wife Jennifer Flavin had decided to leave California for good.
In 2021, Stallone purchased a $35.4 million Palm Beach estate on 1.5 lakefront acres with over 250 feet of beachfront access. Flavin has also praised the move, saying it allowed for a fresh start and new friendships after their daughters relocated to the East Coast.
Stallone emphasized that the change was motivated by lifestyle rather than concerns over crime. “California is probably the most beautiful state, but I just needed a change,” Flavin explained.
The actor also noted in his Netflix documentary Sly that the relocation helped inspire his creativity. Meanwhile, Stallone is preparing for the third season of Tulsa King, premiering September 21 on Paramount+.
