Taylor Swift opted not to attend Travis Kelce’s Sunday night NFL matchup in New York amid heightened security concerns linked to stalkers and recent political tensions.

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs faced the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, but unlike previous appearances, Swift was absent from the stands. The decision follows reports that her team has intensified surveillance after the disappearance of Brian Jason Wagner, a 45-year-old Colorado man who was granted a restraining order in June for stalking the singer. Wagner has since gone missing, with even a private investigator unable to locate him.

At the game, the Giants teased Swift’s presence with a “Taylor Cam” on the jumbotron, showing a blonde-haired woman before revealing Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor. The lighthearted moment underscored the growing speculation about her attendance.

Swift had been at the Chiefs’ previous game against the Eagles, where she was escorted behind what insiders described as a bullet-resistant screen. Sources told the Daily Mail that the precaution was taken following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, which raised concerns about potential threats to public figures.

Insiders also said Swift has received hate mail from extremist groups since endorsing Democratic candidates in recent elections. Security measures have intensified in response, with her appearances kept confidential to a small inner circle.

Swift has faced multiple stalker incidents in recent years, including a foiled terror plot targeting her 2023 Eras Tour in Vienna. The latest concerns highlight the balance between her public support for Kelce and her need for personal security.

The Chiefs, led by Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes, remain under pressure after an 0-2 season start.
