Nishatabad police have arrested a man on the charges of murdering his father and wife and injuring his daughter due to a domestic dispute.
According to police sources, Sajjad Ahmad, a resident of Chak No. 50-JB, was suspected of having shot dead his father Ghulam Fareed and wife Shazia. He had also injured his daughter Tabiya Noor before fleeing.
Following the double murder, Faisalabad City Police Officer Sahibzada Bilal Umar constituted teams under the supervision of the DSP of Nishatabad to arrst the killer.
The teams conducted raids at various locations and arrested the suspect.
Meanwhile, in Rasheedabad, 30-year-old Khurram Shehzad, distressed over a domestic quarrel, poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire. He was shifted to the Burn Unit of Allied Hospital, where doctors confirmed that 30% of his body had suffered burns. Ghulam Muhammad Abad police arrived at the spot and began investigations.
In another incident, in Mehndi Mohalla, 26-year-old Ali Hassan attempted suicide due to a domestic dispute by inflicting a cut on his neck.
