HYDERABAD:

In an incident that reminded many parents of the 2016 Army Public School (APS) Peshawar attack, three people, including a teacher, were killed. Two others were injured in an armed assault at a government boys' school in Baurri village, Shikarpur district, on Friday.

The attack took place within the limits of Rustam police station, a region often affected by tribal conflicts. According to police and local residents, armed men riding five motorcycles stormed the school premises, demanded identity cards from teachers, and then singled out Abdul Razzak Mehar, shooting him dead on the spot.

During the chaos, headmaster Nisar Ahmed Arain and a grade VI student, Faizan Sethar, were also injured. The student sustained a gunshot wound, while the headmaster was struck with the butt of a rifle.
