Will Sam Asghari propose again? Britney’s ex teases marriage talk

Sam Asghari is opening up about life after his very public split from Britney Spears, and he isn’t ruling out a walk down the aisle again. Speaking to TMZ while out in Los Angeles with his girlfriend Brooke Irvine, the fitness trainer and model responded with a teasing “Maybe, yeah, maybe” when asked if engagement was on the horizon. He even admitted that he and Irvine have had conversations about the possibility, though he stopped short of giving away details.

The 31-year-old first went public with Irvine, a real estate agent, in November 2024 at the amfAR Las Vegas benefit. Since then, the couple has appeared at high-profile events together and made their relationship Instagram official with affectionate photos at the start of 2025.

Asghari married Spears in June 2022 after years of dating, but he filed for divorce in August 2023. Their divorce was finalised in May 2024. Spears later described their marriage as “a fake distraction” and “the hardest years of my life” in an Instagram post, comments Asghari gently pushed back against. “Our marriage was very real to me,” he told People, adding he would “always have love” for the pop star.

Online reaction to Asghari’s comments has been divided. On X, some users joked that he was “speedrunning relationships,” while others defended his right to move on after a difficult breakup. One fan wrote, “If Britney can reinvent herself, so can Sam,” while another accused him of “clout chasing again.”

For now, Asghari seems focused on staying positive. “Life is about living and experiencing and enjoying,” he said. Whether or not wedding bells ring again, his new romance has already ensured his name remains tied to headlines, long after his marriage to Spears.
