Victoria Beckham is stepping back into the spotlight with her own Netflix docuseries, set to premiere on 9 October. Simply titled Victoria Beckham, the three-part series charts her transformation from a reserved teenager who restyled her school uniform, to global fame with the Spice Girls, and eventually to her hard-won credibility as a fashion designer.

Directed by Nadia Hallgren, best known for Michelle Obama’s Becoming, the project arrives as a follow-up to David Beckham’s 2023 hit Netflix series Beckham. While that show documented his life and career in football, Victoria’s promises to give fans a more personal look at her struggles, reinvention, and determination to build her own empire.

The trailer, which dropped on 17 September, opens with Victoria addressing long-standing perceptions: “People thought I was that miserable cow that never smiles. But I do. Don’t be shocked.” She reflects on chasing her performing dream with the Spice Girls before turning to fashion as a new creative outlet after the group’s split. Despite her fame, she recalls battling industry scepticism, “People thought, ‘She was a pop star. She’s married to a footballer. Who does she think she is?’”

The series follows her preparations for what she calls the biggest fashion show of her career, interweaving candid glimpses into her personal life. Family appearances include David and three of their four children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, while eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz are noticeably absent, amid reports of a past rift.

Victoria’s humour also shines through in the teaser, as David jokes she could make a cheese and ham sandwich and they’d be proud. She quickly quips back, “Let’s be honest. I couldn’t actually make a cheese sandwich very well.”

By the looks of it, Victoria Beckham aims to do more than celebrate her glamour. It captures her resilience, her fight for recognition, and her desire to show her family, and the world, who she really is. The docuseries Victoria Beckham is confirmed to premiere on October 9, 2025 on Netflix.
