The horror genre is set to welcome a new suburban nightmare with Inground, a chilling thriller that brings together Alexandra Daddario and Jon Cho under the direction of Aaron Katz. Jon Cho, celebrated for his performances in Star Trek and the acclaimed thriller Searching, stars as a recently divorced father seeking to rebuild his relationship with his young son. His plan seems simple enough: construct a backyard swimming pool as a bonding project during a long, hot summer. But the seemingly wholesome activity soon twists into something horrifying, forcing father and son into a fight for survival.
Joining Cho is Alexandra Daddario, who continues to expand her genre résumé after acclaimed turns in HBO’s The White Lotus and AMC’s Mayfair Witches. With her reputation for blending vulnerability and intensity, Daddario is expected to bring a compelling edge to the new film’s unsettling narrative.
The screenplay comes from Dan Dworkin, best known for his work on American Horror Story, ensuring that the tone will carry psychological unease alongside more visceral scares.
