Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show and a close friend of the late conservative activist, said Kirk “loved” being satirized on South Park and would have wanted the episode that featured him to continue airing.

The episode, titled “Got a Nut” and first broadcast on August 6, portrayed Eric Cartman imitating Kirk’s hairstyle and debating students at a political table. Following Kirk’s assassination on September 10 while speaking at a university, Comedy Central removed the episode from its linear rotation. However, it remains available on Paramount+.

“As someone who can speak with some authority on this, Charlie loved that he was featured in South Park,” Kolvet wrote on X. “He told me many times. He would want the episode back up.”

Kirk himself previously expressed amusement at the parody. In a July interview with Fox News Digital, after a teaser for the episode was released, he admitted that his “first reaction was that I kinda laughed.” He said he had watched South Park in high school and considered the series an “equal opportunity offender.” Kirk added, “It’s kinda funny, and it goes to show the cultural impact and the resonance that our movement has been able to achieve. I look at this as a badge of honor.”

The Turning Point USA founder also encouraged conservatives to accept satire, noting, “We shouldn’t take ourselves so seriously.” He emphasized that being mocked is part of public life, saying comedians “are probably going to roast me, and I think that’s fine.”

At the time of the episode’s release, Kirk changed The Charlie Kirk Show’s social media profile photos to a screengrab of Cartman impersonating him. Those images remain in place today.
