Ned Fulmer is speaking out for the first time, three years after the cheating scandal that forced his exit from The Try Guys.

In September 2022, Fulmer admitted to an extramarital affair with a Try Guys employee, a revelation that shocked fans and led to his immediate departure from the group. Known for his “wife guy” persona, Fulmer’s scandal quickly went viral, earning national attention and even a parody on Saturday Night Live.

Now 38, Fulmer has returned with a candid interview and a new project: his podcast Rock Bottom, debuting September 17. “I feel ready to share my story and move on into a new chapter,” he told PEOPLE.

Fulmer revealed that he and his wife, Ariel, 39, turned to couples therapy in the aftermath. Despite doubts about whether their marriage could survive, the pair worked through the infidelity and rebuilt their relationship. “Every cent we spent on therapy was worth it,” he said, adding their marriage is now “certainly stronger than it was before.”

The first episode of Rock Bottom features a difficult but open conversation with Ariel, where the couple discusses the fallout from his actions. Future episodes will highlight others who have faced personal struggles, including addiction, crime, and public scandals.

Fulmer emphasized that his new content will differ from the lighthearted Try Guys videos, focusing instead on meaningful conversations. “As a creator, you have a responsibility to reestablish the context of who you are after something like that,” he said.

With Rock Bottom, Fulmer hopes to confront his past while building a new future in content creation.
