IShowSpeed’s latest livestream took an unexpected turn after a surprise FaceTime call from singer Ray J, who suggested the two collaborate on a “shower stream.”
During a broadcast in Houston on Sunday (Sept. 14), the 20-year-old streamer answered a call from Ray J, 44, who initially expressed interest in linking up in Los Angeles. However, the conversation quickly shifted when the musician brought up Speed’s past on-stream antics.
“Yo, Speed! I’m trying to do the shower stream too,” Ray J said in a clip that has since circulated widely on social media. Speed, appearing confused, asked for clarification before Ray J referenced a clothes-on shower stream Speed did with fellow creator Kai Cenat during a Minecraft marathon last August.
“Bro, you got in the shower with Kai, I was trying to double up,” Ray J continued.
Speed immediately denied Ray J’s interpretation, insisting that he and Cenat never showered together. Though unsettled by the request, the streamer gave a hesitant “Alright” when Ray J pressed him to consider the idea.
Following the call, Speed told viewers, “He not trolling, he deadass. Me and Kai never took a shower together.”
The interaction comes shortly after Ray J appeared on Cenat’s “Mafiathon 3” earlier this month. During that stream, the singer stripped to his underwear and attempted to join Cenat in the shower while one of his own songs played, before being chased out. He also referred to himself as “the new Diddy,” a remark he repeated before being removed again.
Ray J has made similar suggestions in the past, previously telling Cenat he wanted to “sleep over” and “get watered down too.”
The unusual exchanges have generated mixed reactions online, fueling discussion around Ray J’s recurring attempts to join streaming events in unconventional ways.
