Published: “Nadeem Shinasi” goes to print

The book, which is divided into three parts, is based on the work of famous Urdu poet and writer Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi.

Renowned educationalist Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik’s book titled “Nadeem Shinasi” has been published, said a press released issued by International Islamic University on Monday.


The book, which is divided into three parts, is based on the work of famous Urdu poet and writer Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi.

Prof Malik, who is currently the rector of International Islamic University Islamabad, has presented Qasmi’s life in great detail in the first part of the book.

It explains the early upbringing, family background and ideological determination of the deceased writer and poet.

The second part deals with the literary work of Qasmi, in which excerpts from his stories and poetry have also been included.

The third and final part of the book is dedicated to Qasmi’s life and interests in the light of letters received by him during his lifetime.

The author also takes reference from the works of eminent and inspirational  personalities such as Faiz Ahmed Faiz and the Mahatma Gandhi in this section.

The book has been published by Sang-e-Meel Publications.
