Authorities have launched a crackdown against non-custom paid (NCP) vehicles in Bajaur that have not undergone mandatory profiling amid heightened security concerns in the region.
Police officials said profiling of all vehicles, particularly NCP cars, has been declared essential to improve security monitoring and ensure public safety. As part of the campaign, several vehicles were seized on Sunday and shifted to various police stations across the district.
Authorities have warned that owners who fail to complete the profiling of their vehicles in due time will face strict legal action.
Citizens have been urged to visit the Excise and Taxation Office at Civil Colony, Khar, to complete the process and avoid complications in the future.
Officials emphasized that profiling unregistered vehicles is not only a legal requirement but also crucial for safeguarding lives and property in the district.
They appealed to the public to demonstrate responsibility by ensuring timely compliance with the procedure.
The campaign reflects growing security challenges in Bajaur, where unregistered and non-custom paid vehicles have often been linked to illegal activities. Police vowed to continue the operation until all vehicles are properly documented.
