Pakistan and India renew their fierce cricket rivalry on Sunday in an Asia Cup T20 match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Both sides come in on winning runs. India, the defending champions, overwhelmed the UAE by nine wickets, while Pakistan thrashed Oman by 93 runs.

Gates at Dubai International Stadium open three hours before 6:30pm Dubai time, entry is only with a valid ticket.

It is their first meeting since February and their first Asia Cup encounter since 2023, when India won by 228 runs.

AccuWeather expects temperatures near 40°C with a ‘RealFeel’ of 44°C because of strong sunshine and humidity. Air quality is rated “very unhealthy.” Night-time temperatures are set to stay around 30°C with sticky humidity.

Northeasterly winds gusting up to 33 km/h might give seam bowlers some help, but will offer little relief from the heat. No rain is predicted, ensuring a full contest.

The Dubai pitch usually offers an even contest. Fast bowlers may find early movement, while spinners come into play as the surface slows. Batting tends to improve during the middle overs, giving teams chasing a slight edge.
