Dubai Police announced strict security measures and entry rules for Sunday’s high-stakes Asia Cup cricket match between Pakistan and India at Dubai International Stadium.

Gates will open three hours before the 6:30pm local start, and entry will be permitted only with a valid ticket.

Police warned fans against unauthorised parking and said re-entry will not be allowed once spectators leave the venue. The event security committee urged visitors to follow regulations to reflect the UAE’s culture and to avoid harsh penalties for violations.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, assistant commander-in-chief for operations and head of the Dubai Event Security Committee, said anyone entering without permission or carrying banned items such as fireworks could face one to three months in jail and fines ranging from AED 5,000 to AED 30,000.

Spectators engaging in violence, throwing objects, or using abusive language risk similar penalties of jail and fines of AED 10,000 to AED 30,000.

Prohibited items include remote-controlled devices, animals, illegal or toxic substances, power banks, fireworks, laser pointers, glassware, selfie sticks, monopods, umbrellas, sharp objects, smoking gear, outside food or drinks, and oversized flags or banners.
