Lily Collins’ appearance at New York Fashion Week has prompted concern among fans after photographs highlighted her noticeably slender frame.
The Emily in Paris star attended Calvin Klein’s Fall 2025 showcase in a sequined two-piece, showing off her slender midriff, but the discussion soon shifted to her weight and past struggles with eating disorders.
On social media, viewers noted her altered physique, with many referencing her openness about her eating disorder in her 2017 memoir Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me.
In it, Collins shared how the illness left her fearing she might not be able to have children. Her experiences also shaped her portrayal of a young woman with anorexia in Netflix’s To The Bone, a role she has described as deeply personal.
Speaking previously to Harper’s Bazaar, Collins said: “I wanted to reach this image of what I thought perfection was,” reflecting on how her disorder developed. She later added, “As I grew older, I realised that perfection doesn’t exist… I don’t want these self-imposed issues to affect whether or not I can have kids.”
Collins has emphasised that recovery is ongoing, noting: “You can exist with your past eating disorder, but you can let it affect you to whatever extent you want.”
Away from her health journey, Collins continues to lead Emily in Paris, which is currently filming its fifth season. Production recently paused following the sudden passing of assistant director Diego Borella. Off-screen, Collins is raising her daughter, Tove Jane, with husband Charlie McDowell.
Her father-in-law, actor Malcolm McDowell, recently shared with PEOPLE that he is “the biggest fan” of Collins, though he admitted the Netflix series is “not my kind of thing.”
Emily in Paris season 5 premieres on December 12 2025, while previous seasons remain available to stream on Netflix.
