Nina Dobrev and Shaun White have reportedly ended their relationship after five years together, with the split reigniting old rumours about White’s alleged infidelities.

On Thursday, September 11, People confirmed the breakup, citing a source who described it as “a mutual decision, and wasn’t an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another.”

Neither Dobrev nor White has publicly commented, but speculation has intensified on social media. Users on Reddit resurfaced past claims, including a 2022 Deux Moi submission alleging “everyone’s favourite snowboarder has been unfaithful.” The anonymous post suggested White had been seen on dating apps, direct messaging women, and “had a night to remember while abroad last February.”

Five days before news of her split from Shaun White, Nina Dobrev also posted a TikTok mouthing an audio about women trying to “fix” a man, joking he has “10 other women” doing the same. Fans resurfaced the clip after the breakup, speculating it hinted at relationship troubles.

Additionally,a  fan commented under one of Dobrev’s recent Instagram posts, claiming to have seen White at a bar in Austin, Texas, with two women. The commenter alleged they were warned not to take photos, noting that White’s behaviour with the women “was not friendly.”

Some users also allege that White was deleting comments about cheating under his post, ultimately restricting them.

The couple began dating in 2019, following White’s split from Sarah Barthel, and went public with their relationship on Instagram in April 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown.

They announced their engagement in October 2024, though by March 2025, Dobrev admitted they had not started wedding planning.

Their last public sighting together was on August 31 in Los Angeles.
