Gilmore Girls fans are set for a special moment at the 2025 Emmy Awards, as Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham have been confirmed as presenters. The reunion will take place during the ceremony hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 14.
The announcement was made September 9, placing the actresses among a lineup of presenters that includes Kristen Bell, Sofía Vergara, Walton Goggins and Colman Domingo. It marks the first time Bledel and Graham will share a red carpet in nearly a decade, following their appearance for Netflix’s 2016 revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. The revival revisited the beloved WB series, which originally aired from 2000 to 2007 across seven seasons.
Though their on-screen relationship was famously that of mother and daughter, Graham has long emphasized the natural friendship she shares with Bledel. Speaking on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in April, Graham recalled their first meeting during the original show’s table read: “We just always really got along. We did just feel immediate chemistry.”
Graham noted their differences in personality strengthened the bond. “She is a shyer, quieter person, which has been perfect. If you had two loud mes, you’d not have a good balance,” she explained.
Their connection has remained steady across more than 25 years. In a 2016 interview with People magazine, Graham reflected that their dynamic felt more like close friends than mother and daughter. She praised Bledel’s talent and privacy, adding: “We were both kind of in different places then, and we’re both more settled down now. So that was kind of cool, to reconnect.”
The Emmy Awards ceremony will air live on September 14, bringing fans a much-anticipated glimpse of Stars Hollow’s iconic duo.
