Five killed in Hazara Motorway crash

HARIPUR:

Five members of a family travelling from Gilgit to Rawalpindi were killed in a horrific road accident on the Hazara Motorway near Haripur on Monday.

According to Rescue 1122 Haripur, the collision occurred close to the Shah Maqsood Interchange when a car carrying the family was struck by a trailer. The impact killed all five passengers on the spot.

The deceased were identified as 39-year-old Raza Saleem, along with two other men and two women. All belonged to the same family from Gilgit.

Teams from Rescue 1122 Haripur and Motorway Police reached the site shortly after the accident and shifted the bodies to Havelian Hospital.
