LAHORE:

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif underwent a medical checkup after experiencing muscular pain, it emerged on Sunday.

According to reports, Nawaz Sharif arrived at Lahore's General Hospital, where he received extensive treatment. At the neuro ward, he underwent an MRI scan of his cervical spine and brain, and was later taken to the angiography department for a DCR procedure.

Despite the reports circulating widely, no PML-N official confirmed or denied the development.

Observers noted that the lack of clarity came partly from the absence of an officially designated spokesperson for the party president.
