Warner Bros. has unveiled the official trailer for Wuthering Heights, the latest film from Oscar-winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell.
The gothic romance stars Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff in a new adaptation of Emily Brontë’s 1847 literary classic. The film will debut in theaters worldwide on February 13, 2026.

Fennell, known for Saltburn and Promising Young Woman, takes on writing, directing, and producing duties. Alongside Robbie and Elordi, the cast includes Hong Chau as Nelly Dean, Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton, and Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton. The film also introduces Owen Cooper as a young Heathcliff, Charlotte Mellington as young Catherine, and Vy Nguyen as young Nelly Dean, marking their feature film debuts.
The project generated a major bidding war when Robbie and Elordi signed on. Netflix reportedly offered $150 million, but Warner Bros. secured the rights with an $80 million deal. Financing is handled by MRC, with Robbie’s production company LuckyChap producing, continuing their collaboration with Fennell after Saltburn.
Described as a passionate and tragic retelling of Brontë’s novel, Wuthering Heights will explore themes of love, revenge, and class division. With its high-profile cast and Fennell’s signature style, the adaptation is already one of the most anticipated releases of 2026.
