Ariana Grande is reportedly emerging as a strong contender for the next Bond girl role, joining a list of high-profile names that includes Florence Pugh and Emma Watson.
According to a source cited by National Enquirer, producers of the upcoming James Bond reboot—now under Amazon’s ownership—are eyeing the pop star-turned-actress for a prominent role opposite a yet-to-be-cast younger Bond.
The source claims Grande, 32, has impressed the franchise's new team with her work in the Wicked film adaptations. Her selective approach to roles is also seen as an advantage. “They want a cast who actually wants to be there,” the source explained, noting that the producers are “polling young ‘name’ actors and actresses” globally for interest. The new Bond is expected to be portrayed in his late 20s, with hopes of attracting a younger audience.
Twitter has been caught up with the buzz too, and seems like netizens have not been able to pick a side, as the notion of Ariana as the next Bond girl has sparked mixed reviews.

While Grande is a fresh name in the conversation, she faces tough competition. Pugh, known for her action roles in Black Widow and Thunderbolts, reportedly has a strong relationship with incoming Bond director Denis Villeneuve. Watson, meanwhile, remains close with producer David Heyman, who launched her career in the Harry Potter films. Although Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya have also been mentioned, Zendaya is considered too high-profile unless fiancé Tom Holland is cast as Bond.
Despite the speculation, Grande has remained publicly focused on her music. On August 29, she officially announced her 2026 Eternal Sunshine world tour—her first in seven years. The tour kicks off in North America in June and includes a five-night run at London’s O2 Arena in August.
It marks a major return to live music following years dedicated to acting, including roles in Wicked and the upcoming Focker In-Law.
