Jujutsu Kaisen fans can finally mark their calendars—season 3 of the hit anime is officially set to premiere in January 2026, Crunchyroll confirmed during its fifth anniversary special.
The new installment, titled Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1, continues directly after the explosive Shibuya Incident arc.
The highly anticipated season will adapt Gege Akutami’s manga arc of the same name, diving into a deadly tournament orchestrated by the villain Kenjaku. Known as one of the longest and most brutal arcs in the manga, The Culling Game promises expanded character introductions, intense battles, and emotional confrontations.
The first teaser trailer showcases Yuji Itadori grappling with despair after the Shibuya Incident, as well as a dramatic fight between Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu, who returns from Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Several new characters, including Higuruma, Takaba, Kashimo, and Naoya, will also debut this season, signaling a major shift in the story’s scale and stakes.
Production studio MAPPA will once again helm the project despite a packed slate, with Shota Goshozono directing and Hiroshi Seko returning for series composition. Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa will lead character design, while Yoshimasa Terui composes the score. The Japanese voice cast features Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori, Yuma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro, and Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu.
With its blend of high-stakes drama and visually dynamic battles, Jujutsu Kaisen has already cemented itself as one of the most successful anime series of the decade. Season 3 is expected to deliver a dramatic cliffhanger, setting up what could be the series’ final act.
