Rapper French Montana and Dubai’s Princess Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum are officially engaged, and the announcement has turned heads—especially thanks to the princess’s stunning engagement ring.
The couple confirmed their engagement with a joint Instagram post on August 29, featuring a close-up of their hands and Mahra’s emerald-cut diamond ring. The post was simply captioned with a white heart and sparkle emoji. According to a statement from French Montana’s PR team, obtained by People, the rapper proposed during Paris Fashion Week in June, shortly after walking the runway for 3.PARADIS’ Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
The engagement ring, custom-designed by celebrity jeweler Eric The Jeweler of Mavani & Co., features an 11.53-carat emerald-cut diamond set on a diamond-studded band. The rare gem is valued at approximately $1.1 million. The PR statement called the design “elegant and rare,” adding that it “perfectly symbolizes the couple’s unique love story.”
French Montana, born Karim Kharbouch, was first linked to Sheikha Mahra, 31, in October 2024, when she shared images giving him a tour of Dubai. Their relationship became public during Paris Fashion Week, where they appeared together at several events.
This will be the second marriage for Sheikha Mahra, the daughter of Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She was previously married to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum and shares a 15-month-old daughter with him. She announced their divorce in July 2024 via a bold Instagram post, citing infidelity and invoking the Islamic practice of triple talaq.
French Montana, 40, has a 16-year-old son named Kruz. He has previously been romantically linked to celebrities such as Khloé Kardashian, Iggy Azalea, and Rubi Rose.
According to Montana’s team, both families are “excited and supportive,” though wedding plans are still being finalized.
