Sindh governor donates five-month salary to flood victims

Relief cell set up at Governor House to coordinate aid, ensure timely support for flood-hit areas

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has announced the donation of his five-month salary to help victims of the recent floods, Express News reported on Friday.

In a statement, the governor expressed solidarity with the flood-affected communities, stating, “In this hour of crisis, I stand with the people who are suffering due to the devastating floods.”

The governor also announced the establishment of a dedicated relief cell at the Governor House to coordinate and oversee aid activities, ensuring timely support reaches the affected areas.

In a message posted on X, he called on all stakeholders to formulate a comprehensive strategy to combat the growing climate crisis the country is facing.

Tessori confirmed that trucks loaded with essential relief goods and tents are being dispatched to the flood-hit districts to provide immediate assistance to those in need.

He further appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to build a national consensus on the issue, stressing that a coordinated strategy, beyond political interests, is essential to pull the country out of crisis.
