The Express Helpline trust raised over Rs25 million during the 2010 floods crisis via donations. The funds were used for immediate flood relief as well as construction of 100 homes in Charsadda and Thatta.
There has been virtually no response at all, to a UN call for $357 million in aid to help flood victims trapped in a flood that the prime minister now concedes could be as bad as that which hit last year. The UN appeal for funds is intended to help desperate people who have received too little help.
Some 800,000 families hit by the ongoing floods calamity remain homeless. The army is active again, travelling across kilometres of flooded farmland in boats to rescue people who have just the clothes on their backs.

This is such a great initiative by the team EXPRESS! I came across with this column few hours back, and found it one of the easiest ways to get flood marks helped. Moreover anyone from any income level can easily afford this Text-Donating idea after all it is JUST Rs 10 that is left with no value but surely this low charge when corporate will bring better results.
