Andrew Tate is reportedly preparing for a return to combat sports—this time stepping into the boxing ring with Misfits Boxing, the influencer-driven promotion co-founded by British YouTuber KSI. The bout is expected to take place before the end of 2025, ahead of Tate’s scheduled criminal trial in 2026.
Before becoming a polarising internet personality, Tate was an active competitor in combat sports, primarily known for his kickboxing career, which includes a record of 76 wins, 9 losses, and 1 draw. He also dabbled in MMA, earning one professional win. However, he’s never fought in a pure boxing match.
According to veteran combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, Tate is in “advanced talks” with Misfits Boxing for a heavyweight bout. While no opponent or venue has been confirmed, Helwani’s sources suggest an official announcement could come as early as this weekend—possibly during the upcoming Misfits event in Manchester.
Misfits Boxing, led by KSI and known for featuring influencers and online personalities, has grown into a major player in crossover boxing, with names like Jake Paul and KSI himself headlining previous events. A match involving Tate would be one of its most high-profile bouts yet.
The potential return to the ring comes amid Tate’s ongoing legal troubles. He and his brother, Tristan, were arrested in Romania in 2022 and later charged with human trafficking, rape, and other serious crimes both there and in the UK. The UK trial is scheduled to begin in June 2026 and could last up to two months.
After initially spending time in a Romanian prison, the Tate brothers were released under house arrest. They’ve since been permitted to travel, recently visiting the United States—though Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reportedly told them they were “not welcome.”
While nothing is confirmed yet, all signs point to Andrew Tate stepping into the boxing spotlight before facing his legal battles in court.
