Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” has agreed to plead guilty to supplying the dose of ketamine that led to the death of Friends star Matthew Perry.

Federal prosecutors confirmed on Monday that Sangha, 42, will change her plea in an upcoming hearing, avoiding a September trial.

Sangha, a dual US and UK citizen, faces up to 45 years in prison after admitting to five federal charges. These include maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of ketamine distribution, and one count of distribution resulting in death or serious bodily injury. Prosecutors have consistently referred to her by the nickname “Ketamine Queen” in court filings, emphasizing her role as a prolific dealer.

Matthew Perry, best known for playing Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom Friends, died at his Los Angeles home in October 2023 at the age of 54. Court documents revealed the actor had been using ketamine six to eight times daily, reportedly as part of treatment for depression. Prosecutors allege Perry was charged $2,000 per vial, a steep markup from the $12 cost obtained through fraudulent prescriptions.

The case has involved multiple defendants. Alongside Sangha, physician Salvador Plasencia signed a plea deal earlier this year, while three others — Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Erik Flemin — previously agreed to cooperate with prosecutors. Chavez allegedly supplied ketamine to Plasencia, further implicating both in Perry’s fatal overdose.

Sangha’s guilty plea marks the final resolution in the high-profile investigation. A sentencing date will be scheduled following her formal plea hearing.
