Kanye West has relisted his stripped-back Malibu mansion, marking the fourth time in five years that the property has been placed on the market.
The $34.9 million listing follows reports that the rapper has been selling multiple properties while facing difficulties securing bookings. In recent months, he also put his burned-down San Fernando Valley church and his Calabasas ranch up for sale.
The Malibu property, designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, was purchased by West in 2021 for $57.3 million.
He controversially removed its interior fittings, leaving behind a hollowed concrete structure. Reports suggested he intended to turn it into a “bomb shelter” or “bat cave,” but the project was later abandoned.
Belwood Investments acquired the home in 2024 for $21 million, initiating major restoration work that included new plumbing, framing, and roofing. The property entered a contract in March with developer Andrew Mazzella for a reported sum above $30 million.
Speaking to Mansion Global, Mazzella described the house as “a very complicated construction project,” and compared his negotiation style to that of Trump, Musk, and Carl Icahn.
Alongside the Malibu listing, West has placed his Calabasas ranch on the market for around $2 million and his church property for $1.5 million.
The ranch, once home to the Donda Academy, requires significant restoration. The church lot, destroyed by fire in 2024, has been marketed for its redevelopment potential.
Separately, a new documentary titled In Whose Name, filmed over six years by Nico Ballesteros, has drawn attention to West’s health.
A trailer shows the rapper stating, “I’m off my meds for five months now,” while his ex-wife Kim Kardashian expressed concern, saying his personality had changed.
In another clip, West declared he would “rather be dead than be on medication.” The documentary is scheduled for release on September 9.
