
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Anti-Corruption Establishment has recovered 136 kanals of state-owned land worth hundreds of millions of rupees in Swabi district and handed it over to the Irrigation Department.
According to an Anti-Corruption press release, complaints had been received regarding illegal occupation of land belonging to the Irrigation Department in Swabi.
An inquiry was launched, which confirmed that 136 kanals in the areas of Swabi and Bamkhel were the department's property. In a joint operation with the district administration, Revenue Department, police, and Irrigation Department, the Anti-Corruption team retrieved the land.
