Sophie Turner shuts down ‘mom shaming’ claim that she abandoned her kids to party

Sophie Turner has responded to an online comment accusing her of abandoning her children to attend an Oasis concert.

The Game of Thrones actress shared photos from Wembley Stadium on Instagram, captioned,  “Bucket hats & beers … That’ll do me. Thank you @levis.” While most fans praised the post, one person wrote, “Lmfao I think she has forgotten that she has two kids.”

Turner replied directly saying, “ah I’m so sorry sometimes I forget some people can’t think for themselves. So … Get this … There’s this crazy thing called shared custody. Maybe, just maybe, they were with their dad that day,” referencing her ex-husband Joe Jonas.

Turner and Jonas, married from 2019 to 2024, share two daughters, Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2.

Their divorce, finalised after a public split in 2023, initially drew media attention over allegations about Turner’s lifestyle. She has since denied being a “partier,” telling British Vogue in 2024 that she is “a good mum” and that the reports were “the worst few days of [her] life.”

Turner continues to work in television and film while co-parenting amicably with Jonas, making clear that criticism of her personal life will not go unanswered.
