
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi on Tuesday reaffirmed the Bench and Bar as essential pillars of the justice system, stressing that their shared goal of delivering justice requires close cooperation.
The top judge made these remarks as he met with a delegation of the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) at the Supreme Court Branch Registry, Karachi. He was accompanied by Sindh High Court Chief Justice Junaid Ghaffar.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, the chief justice welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed that the Bench and Bar are integral components of a justice system.
He stressed that the shared mission of delivering justice cannot be achieved without the close cooperation of the legal fraternity, assuring that he would not allow any factor to disrupt this vital meaningful partnership.
Briefing the delegation, the top judge outlined the ongoing reform agenda being implemented through the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan (LJCP). He apprised them of the measures taken for the welfare of the legal fraternity, including their inclusion in decision-making processes and policy development for the justice sector.
