
Prospective pilgrims should get ready for submission of Hajj dues and applications as the Ministry of Religious Affairs opens the process for receiving the first installment of Hajj dues and applications from today — Monday, August 4.
Pilgrims are advised to head to banks with Rs500,000, as those who pay first will secure their spot for Hajj. Priority will be given to already registered applicants, while unregistered individuals can also secure their seat next week by submitting their payment.
The Hajj package for 2026 is expected to range between Rs1,150,000 and Rs1,250,000. Restrictions on repeat Hajj and upper age limits have been lifted. However, children born after March 1, 2014, are not eligible to apply.
According to the announcement by the Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs, Hajj applications and the first installment can be submitted via designated banks and the online portal.
Registered individuals can deposit the first installment from August 4 to August 9 on a first-come, first-served basis. Officials from the ministry stated that if registered applicants make their payments by the deadline, unregistered applicants will not be accommodated.
However, if some seats remain unfilled by August 9, then from August 11 to August 16, new applicantsthose who had not previously appliedwill be allowed to submit applications.
