Jessie J has been hospitalized after experiencing complications following her breast cancer surgery. The British singer, best known for her hit song "Bang Bang," shared the news with fans on Instagram, revealing that she had been readmitted to the same hospital ward she was in after her surgery.
On August 3, Jessie, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, posted a photo showing an IV in her arm, captioning it, “6 weeks post surgery and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery. Not expected or planned.” She explained that after undergoing tests, doctors discovered an infection and fluid on her lungs, but fortunately ruled out a blood clot.

In June, Jessie J publicly shared her breast cancer diagnosis, revealing that she had undergone a mastectomy and breast reconstruction. She later announced in late June that her cancer was “all gone.”
Despite this positive news, Jessie is still struggling with her recovery, noting in her recent update, “The recovery physically is far from quick or easy, and mentally it’s been the most challenging time for me.”

In her Instagram Stories, Jessie expressed her frustration with the slower pace of her recovery, particularly her inability to be the mother she usually is to her 2-year-old son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, and the impact on her career. “Having to change the plans for my career for this year has been frustrating,” she admitted, but added, “I know that’s life.”
Jessie also shared her decision to leave the hospital against medical advice, explaining that she dislikes being in the hospital. She plans to continue her treatment as an outpatient. In one of her final posts, Jessie humorously acknowledged that her body had sent her a clear message to “sit down.”

Despite the challenges, Jessie remains focused on adjusting to a slower pace and finding strength through the support of her close-knit circle.
