Student injured in suicide attempt

A 15-year-old schoolgirl allegedly attempted suicide in the Sufaid Dheri area of Pishtakhara after receiving low marks in her 9th-grade exams.

According to police, the girl, identified as the daughter of Rahim Shah, reportedly shot herself in an apparent act of self-harm.

Upon receiving the report, police reached the scene and found the girl critically injured. She was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Initial investigations suggest the girl was distressed over her exam performance, which may have led to the drastic step. Police have initiated a formal inquiry and are recording statements to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
