A newly confirmed polio case in K-P has raised total polio cases this year to 18, the Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication at the National Institute of Health said on Friday.
The latest case involves a 10-month-old boy from Tank, the 11th case from K-P in 2025.
The Pakistan Polio Eradication Programme warned that every unvaccinated child remained at risk and could contribute to the virus's spread. It said that the only effective protection against polio was repeated oral polio vaccine doses for every child under five in each campaign, alongside timely essential immunisations.
