David Dastmalchian, who portrayed Polka-Dot Man in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad (2021), says he’s open to returning to the DC Universe if the opportunity arises.

During a recent fan panel appearance, the actor reflected fondly on his time with the character and emphasized that he’s “ready” if called upon.

Though Polka-Dot Man met his end in the film, Dastmalchian’s performance quickly became a fan favorite, known for its emotional depth and unexpected charm.

When asked about the possibility of reprising the role in Gunn’s evolving DC Universe, he didn’t confirm any official talks but made it clear he would jump at the chance.

While DC Studios continues to reshape its cinematic timeline under James Gunn and Peter Safran, some characters from previous projects, like Peacemaker, have been teased to continue.

That leaves the door cracked open for others from The Suicide Squad to possibly reappear in creative ways.

At present, Dastmalchian is involved in several genre projects, including roles in the horror and sci-fi space, but his connection to Polka-Dot Man remains strong, and his comments have reignited speculation among fans eager to see familiar faces return to DC’s rebooted slate.
