The Balochistan government is undertaking robust and sustained efforts to address challenges faced by women and protect their fundamental rights, said Dr Rubaba Khan Buledi, Provincial Advisor on Women Development.
During an official visit to the Women Crisis Center in Quetta, Dr Buledi emphasized the institution's critical role in supporting women affected by gender-based violence. She reviewed ongoing rehabilitation and empowerment programs and inspected the facilities provided to vulnerable women.
Speaking to the media and staff, Dr Buledi stated, "The Women Crisis Center is more than a shelter, it's a symbol of hope for those who have endured violence and injustice. Our government is committed to implementing long-term, inclusive solutions for women's protection and empowerment."
She noted that the Women Development Department (WDD) is actively running programs aimed at ensuring women's safety, dignity, and economic independence.
Saira Atta, Secretary of the WDD, briefed the delegation on the center's services, which include safe housing, legal assistance, psychological counseling, medical support, and vocational training.
