ISLAMABAD:

As many as eight newly elected Senators from K-P — including three from the PTI — took the oath of office on Thursday, while PTI's Murad Saeed did not appear for the swearing-in ceremony as he remains at large.

Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani administered the oath and obtained the signatures of the new members, formally inducting them into the Upper House of Parliament.

Those who took the oath include PTI Senators Faisal Javed, Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, and Mirza Muhammad Afridi; PPP Senators Rubina Khalid and Talha Mehmood; as well as Niaz Ahmed, Dilawar Khan, and Atta-ul-Haq.
