Unidentified armed men shot dead a young boy in SITE Superhighway Industrial Area on Monday. Police suspect the incident is the result of a longstanding family feud.

Unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on a teenage boy, killing him on the spot. He was identified as 16-year-old Ikhlaq, son of Gulab. The deceased, hailed from Ghotki, lived with his uncle in Noor Khan Goth, within Sohrab Goth police limits. The police said that the boy worked at a factory. At around 8am, he left his house for work when he was ambushed and fired upon at close range by unidentified armed men. He was hit by three bullets, to the neck, temple, and face, and died on the spot.

The police found three bullet casings of a 30-bore pistol at the scene. The victim's family term the murder as a result of an old enmity dating back to ancestral times in their native village. Police have collected evidence from the crime scene and initiated a detailed investigation.
