Billie Eilish surprised fans in Manchester by revealing she is working on a new 3D project with filmmaker James Cameron. The announcement came during her set at Co-op Live, where Cameron was present in the audience.
“So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here,” Eilish said to the crowd. “Basically, I can’t say much about it but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron and it’s going to be in 3D. So, take that as you will and these four shows here in Manchester, you and me are part of a thing that I am making with him. He’s in this audience somewhere, just saying. So don’t mind that, and also I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.”
While she didn’t confirm details, speculation online points to a documentary, concert film or experimental video. Eilish previously released the 2021 documentary “The World’s a Little Blurry” and the concert film “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles.”
The Manchester concerts are part of her world tour in support of “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” her third studio album. The tour began in September 2024 and includes stops across North America, Australia, Europe, and Japan, ending in San Francisco on November 23, 2025.
This collaboration marks an intriguing fusion of pop music and cinematic storytelling, further establishing Eilish’s creative range and Cameron’s continued exploration of 3D formats.
