Charli XCX and George Daniel have officially tied the knot in a relaxed ceremony at Hackney Town Hall, surrounded by a close circle of family and friends.
The singer, 32, known for her bold style, opted for a Vivienne Westwood Nova Cora white mini dress and signature sunglasses.. Her new husband, George Daniel, 35, drummer of The 1975, wore a dark double-breasted suit and open-collared shirt, adorned with a flower matching Charli’s bouquet.
Only 20 guests were in attendance, including Charli's longtime friend Aidan Zamiri and Daniel's 1975 bandmates Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald. Notably missing, however, was frontman Matty Healy.
Although, he had joined George's stag celebrations in Ibiza days earlier, a source confirmed to Page Six that Healy flew to Los Angeles the day before the ceremony to support his fiancée Gabbriette, who had film commitments.
Charli’s choice of a bold platinum wedding band valued at $13,000 reflected her personal flair, complementing her $20,000 engagement ring. Diamond expert Laura Taylor commented that the unique design deviated from celebrity norms, favouring individuality over classic trends.
Offering insight into the intimate affair, Charli revealed on TikTok how Daniel teared up when he saw her walk down the aisle as a bride,
The couple, who began dating in 2022 and announced their engagement in late 2023, are planning a larger celebration in Sicily later this year, said to feature an all-night bar and luxury touches.
