Cyclists highlight historical heritage

The early morning ride began at 4:30am from Liberty Market and concluded at the tomb of Mardan Khan

The Punjab Department of Archaeology and Museums organised a heritage-themed cycling ride through the city in collaboration with Critical Mass Lahore (CML).

The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of preserving historical landmarks witnessed enthusiastic participation, particularly from women.

The early morning ride began at 4:30am from Liberty Market and concluded at the tomb of Mardan Khan, covering a distance of approximately 26 kilometres. Around 80 cyclists took part in the two-hour ride.

One of the participants, Saima Ahmed, described the event as "a wonderful and memorable experience. Riding a bicycle in the fresh morning air is not only good for physical health but also brings mental peace."

Another participant said, "Events like these offer a fresh perspective on a historic city like Lahore."
